MumsInCtrl Hosts First Networking Brunch for Entrepreneur Mums

Updated: Apr 29, 2022

This Tuesday, MumsInCtrl held their first ever event in collaboration with Mentor Black Business and Out The Box for entrepreneur mums at Somerset House. The Mumpreneur Brunch was huge success giving 60+ mums the chance to connect and let their hair down.

Pink Ship's founder Patrice Stephens-Sobers launched MumsInCtrl as a small Instagram account to motivate herself as an entrepreneur and mother, and hoped to form a community through the platform to build mutual support, find inspiration and provide information to ambitious mums with career goals.

The MumsInCtrl community has since grown, and their very first event, the Mumpreneur Brunch, was a huge hit!

The brunch was an amazing opportunity for mums to get together to network and have open, honest conversations around motherhood and business. But it was more than that! The event provided a warm and friendly environment for mums to unwind with good food and new friends, plus giveaways and goodie bags. Who doesn't love goodie bags?

Conversations were facilitated by inspirational entrepreneur mums Nicky and Cassie, with Patrice hosting the event and giving announcements. Giveaways were generously provided for by The Beautiful Me Collection and Y.Wait Beauty, while Treasure Tress hooked everybody up with incredible goodie bags.

GV Secret Garden did not come to play as caterers for the brunch! There was a mouth-watering spread with vegan, veggie and gluten-free options plus delicious drinks. Later on, guests could pose for a few snaps by beautiful balloon décor by Luxe Moments.

With help from Mentor Black Business and Out The Box, this free/donation-based networking brunch was planned to perfection, with the Pink Ship team coming on board to provide social media management and marketing.

We had a blast creating the promotional materials and engaging with followers on social media to generate interest and excitement about the event. We also handled the email marketing campaigns that kept guests up to date with brunch details.
